About a dozen Minnesota Vikings turned out Friday night to watch teammate -- for now -- Ray Edwards make his professional boxing debut at Grand Casino Hinckley. Edwards' performance wasn't inspiring, but he did record two knockdowns en route to a unanimous, four-round decision over Duluth's TJ Gibson.

    At least he shows that he is versatile. He plays professional football and just had a professional boxing match.

    Ray gots A LOT to learn. Seems like he doesnt know much yet...this fight was lucky and kind of unfair cause his opponent was like 5 inches shorter than him

    @VeteransAgainstKonop You obviously know nothing of boxing. There are weight divisions that keep that from happening. Tyson used to beat guys that appeared to be "twice his size" too, but they were usually damn close to the same weight. I'd like to see you fight a pro boxer who's half your size - if you won, & you wouldn't, would you have respect for yourself? Qualifications, man. Tacit realities of physicality. Completes fools (you)can't grasp anything other than "ZOMG THAT GUYZ WAI BIG."

    I was there and watched this fight, It should of been a draw, Edwards kept backing away pretty much all the time making it almost impossible for tj to hit him. Thats why he looks like hes drunk because he was just running in there swinging hoping to hit him before edwards ran away

    @stm789 Well he just started training somewhat recently. I'm sure the guy he was fighting is a can, but so is he. He should have done some more amateur fights though
