    Great win for Donaire, Montiel is a classy operator but he just destroyed him. I want to see him in with the winner of the Showtime bantamweight tournament before moving up again. Donaire versus the guy who beat Munroe, the japanese "speed king" up at super bantam would be a great fight as well.

    yes i'd love to see donaire in the featherweight mix- assuming the likes of lopez & gamboa aint moved up by then

    @HatmanTV - I'm just amazed Montiel was able to get up after that KD!! For a few seconds he was almost fitting, then managed to haul himself up at 9. Just staggered that the ref did'nt wave it off immediately. When a guy is almost going into a seizure, screw the fact it's a world title fight!? But Donaire looked phenomenol - Amazing technician and a clear thinker in the ring. Body frame wise, he looks like he'd be big at 126. Maybe even end up at 130 in the next 2 or 3 years??

    yea....soto karass didn't fight with the same energy he fought with in the 1st fight....or Mike Jones was just more disciplined this time round.

    well its all about money- the higher up in weight u go, the more money u make pretty much... if he stayed at bantam, he could be champ 4ever lol, BUT he has the frame to move up no problem, & he will probably wanna test himself more

    i'd like to see him in the featherweight mix

    round 2:good left right by donaire, nice left hand, montiel showing a good chin, donaire showing double jab combination to set up his combos, another left and a good jab by donaire, but montiel keeps pressuring, nice couple of lefts by montiel, nice right to the body by montiel, nice knock out by donaire even though both landed, wow what a quick fight lol.a right landed by montiel and a left counter by donaire.

    Bang, boom, kapow!!! yeah Lampley would be hyper creaming in his pants. Great knock out, these little guys need to avoid Donaire at all costs. This guy is too big..to fast for these little guys.
