    If I'm not mistaken, the reason Chavez even got a shot at that belt in the first place is that the sanctioning body stripped Sergio Martinez of it. Martinez thinks that that belt is rightfully his, and I agree with him. Chavez Jr., if you think that you deserve that belt more than Sergio Martinez does, then you have to fight him, and you have to fight him next. Be like your father and rise to the occasion. You're a world champion now. Fight the middleweight king of the world.

    @zapyoj martinez is a career 154 pounder who only moved up to 160 after no one wanted a piece of him at 154. so why would pac fight for a title at 154 if hes not goin to defend it. that was martinez's title that he was forced to vacate btw

    @325hpls1 martinez is not a true 154,he fights @ 160.the fight should never happen coz once pacquiao destroy sergio,you will say"he is dehydrated,drained etc.we heard it all before @ the dl hoya fight.i bet you're one of those who said pac doesn't stand a chance- but after he won,excuses started flying.margarito beat the hell out of martinez & we all know pac is lightyears better than margo.pac dominated margo,something sergio FAILED TO DO

    Martinez is too big for Pac, It will be like Barerra vs Margarito if Martinez wants his shot at Pac it'll cost him his weight, I think Martinez should rule in the middleweight for now, he should call out that kid Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. how can a legend goes on if Chavez Jr. only fights fighters we never heard of. Martinez should call out & school Chavez Jr. that kid has never crawled to the canvass. Or Martinez should call out Hopkins at 160 catchweight.

    @Ateyurock - Im not an expert in boxing, Its what Ive learned since Ive just started boxing, the catchweights are for the promoters job & negotiators. Me Im 5/4 140 & I sparred with a friend who is 5'8 almost 180, he couldnt believe how easily I can sneak my straight right hand in his face & move to his side immediately hes so pissed & frustrated that he demanded me to catch his weight which is so ridiculous. If you were me would you go all the way to 180? Boxing always dont work that way.

    @Ateyurock - 154? does that make any difference? catchweight is a lousy excuse Manny would still whoop Margarito's ass dude, If Manny was at 154 he'll know exactly what to do, flirt in the ropes, wait for Margarito, do a 7 hit combo then move away, go in the center wait for Margarito again, do a 7 hit combo again, & keep on encircling Margarito so that Margarito's focus will always be Manny's head not the body. Margarito fought by heart not by brain, hed still lose Manny at 154.
