    Sergio Martinez learned that nothing is gonna be handed to you, so insted of letting the decesion be in the judges hands, he kills Paul Williams, and showed that he will take matters in his own hands

    If I'm not mistaken, the reason Chavez even got a shot at that belt in the first place is that the sanctioning body stripped Sergio Martinez of it. Martinez thinks that that belt is rightfully his, and I agree with him. Chavez Jr., if you think that you deserve that belt more than Sergio Martinez does, then you have to fight him, and you have to fight him next. Be like your father and rise to the occasion. You're a world champion now. Fight the middleweight king of the world.

    @pinoysunoy tell me the last time pacquiao fought a current boxing champion at his prime considered in the top 12 P4P best comming from at least 6 amazing wins fighting in his natural weigh not a catchweight, no comming from suspension,loses or poor performances before he fought pacquiao. tell me the name and the year he fought a boxer at this level.     i like how Martinez uses Reyes puncher's gloves, and not those cheap everlast or winner's gloves, the one's Mayweather uses cause he has brittle hands.

    I'd like to see that. However, I think Martinez's dilemma is that if he moves up in weight to challenge Froch, Kessler, Ward, Bute, and Johnson, he may never be able to go back down to fight Pacquiao. It's well-known that he badly wants Pacquiao. Since neither Pacquiao nor Mayweather want to fight him, Martinez's only option at this point would be the SM division. SM has a lot of quality fighters, and if Martinez dominates that division, we have a new #1.

    @merksperk2 mayweather already refused the fight with martinez and yeah ur right unless chavez does an outstanding performance against zbick i dont think he has a chance with cotto...but martinez what he has to do know is move up weight and fight maybe someone like bika or kessler before facing andre ward so he can get settle in super middleweight

    At this point, I think Cotto would be too much for Chavez. Unless Chavez puts on a good performance this Saturday, I see Cotto knocking him out if they fight. And however badly I want to see Martinez against either Mayweather or Pacquiao, these fights probably aren't going to happen. Think about it. If Pacquiao won't fight Martinez, then Floyd will NEVER fight Martinez.

    But that's my point. If it's too early for Chavez to fight Martinez, THEN WHAT BUSINESS DOES HE HAVE FIGHTING FOR A BELT? If a fighter wins a belt, I assume that he is willing to defend that belt against any challenger in the division he's in. If Chavez needs more experience, then he shouldn't be fighting for a goddamn belt.

    I think it's still early for Chavez Jr to fight Sergio. He still needs more experience.

    We have to wait and see this Saturday though.
    Sergio is great... one of the best at middleweight. I would still like to see a Sergio vs Dmitry Pirog fight though.
    Or maybe against Sebastian Sylvester.
