I agree with ya, bossman. I think Ortiz will get more credit if he were to lose to Mayweather than blow some nobody out of the water. I like to think the guy has a bit of a chance, he's young, hungry and has a good bit of talent to him. I'm not so sure about the stylistic differences though, it'll be a dynamite fight to see either way!

@TheGILBERTnetwork I disagree entirely, first of all Shane was a top 5 Welter (and #3 p4p) when Floyd destroyed him, the same thing for Oscar (that wasn't weight drained). Floyd is only 34 years old, his boxing style has not put him into any serious "wars" because his defense enables him to evade most power punches. Floyd still hits the gym and trains, he keeps hismself in shape and everything, I think Floyd will win this by a landslide decision.

@meyoutoobthem I wouldn't even deny a prediction like that, that is definitely a possibility. Floyd's blinding speed could KO Ortiz with a quick counter punch. I doubt it though, from the bombs he took from Andre Berto, Ortiz seems like a warrior.

I'm excited that Ortiz is fighting not so much Mayweather. I think Ortiz wins this. The stage is set. Mayweather is 34 and has been out for along time. This is the 1st top 5 welter Mayweather has ever fought. Age catches up to everyone even Mayweather. Beware you will never see Mayweather vs Pacquiao.

@MrDamacboy At least Mayweather is fighting a young champion coming off a career best performance. Maybe after Floyd beats him Pacquiao can feast on Ortiz like He's done with all of Mayweather's leftovers.

Victors open for shots when he comes forward but as long as he doesn't get dismayed early in the fight we could be in for a fucking great night of boxing. I don't think it would be embarrassing for Floyd if he loses tbh I think it would show him in a good light for taking a risk. yeah, if peterson could adjust and touch ortiz, I really think ortiz will walk into a punch and get taken out. not a popular prediction but I think floyd will knock him out in 9 rounds.
