  1. Sakio bika lost every round on one judges score card to ward and the other 2 judges had bika winning like 2 rounds or something

  2. @ukwingchunstudent Mate answer this, can you see Froch knocking Ward down? I can and I think that can win carl the fight, plus his jab and uppercuts.

  3. @HatmanTV Likewise, I'll be sure to check out your prediction when the time comes.

  4. @iamrob7

u know your boxing, & u know these fighters well, definitely given me things to think about before i do my prediction

  5. @HatmanTV Another thing, I think Froch going backwards leaning and turning away is going to be a lot tougher to grab after Ward throws several punches and lunges forward, unlike Kessler who at Ward or stood there in a very conventional upright stance. Not being able to grab when coming forward might frustrate Ward.

It's all speculation obviously, I think Ward has to be the favourite. You could see in that Johnson fight that Froch has major problems with speed.

  6. @HatmanTV Yes I agree, he is extremely calculated, but the one vulnerability perhaps is that unlike Hopkins he still has in some way a young man's head on him. Perhaps he can be frustrated a little. If he gets hurt or caught big/shown up, we don't know how he will handle it.

I know Froch has said he will be aggressive, I hope that is just subterfuge. Imo only a fast, volume puncher who uses a wide variety of angles and has an impressive inside game can be aggressive with Ward and win.

  7. @iamrob7

very interesting, i like your logic, strategy really could determine this one

the thing i see with ward though, is that he is obsessed with strategy, he studies his opponents obsessively & sticks to the game plan no matter what- every move he makes in the ring is calculated, he never does anything without thinking it through- he's like hopkins

he boxed kesslers head off then had an ugly mauling style vs green, it was all planned, & his defence is very underrated

  8. @HatmanTV I think Ward can be frustrated, you saw that in the Bika fight and even Abraham had a few moments early on. Personally I hope Froch doesn't get aggressive until much later into the fight when Ward is hurt or at least tired. Early on Ward will be too fast for Froch if he comes at him. Turn him, lean and make him stretch to land those punches early on, jump in, waste his energy on landing ineffective punches and try to counter with something big.

  9. @HatmanTV I think it is unlikely that Froch beats Ward by decision unless he hurts him very badly, so for me it's either a KO or at least some KDs required. IMO Froch's main tactic should be to back up and lure Ward into leaping at him with/without his head as he did with Kessler and use that awkward stance and long reach to catch him with something big. I'm not sure Ward can really fight coming forward as well as countering going back. If he gets him hurt/tired late on, then perhaps be agg

  10. @HatmanTV You could be right but I'm not sure if Ward is easily roughed up. He might not punch particularly hard but I believe he is especially dangerous on the inside. Kessler tried to be aggressive with Ward initially and would regularly get hurt badly coming in. When he got on the inside Ward would tie him up or do more damage. Ward also relied on leading with his head and grabbing Kessler. I think Froch gets punished badly with fast counters if he tries to be aggressive with Ward...

  11. @HatmanTV Yes that's true Kessler has the height and almost the reach of Froch, but he doesn't quite use it in the awkward way Froch does by turning away and leaning.

Definitely Johnson dominated those opening rounds, for me it was largely down to the fact that he is so much faster than Froch whilst having the same reach as him and the constant threat of that huge overhand right which Froch must have been abundantly aware of going in. I see speed as being a major problem against Ward.

  12. Andre Ward you lil ..... haha. i think froch will beat ward could even stop him. he'll give it everything. dnt think he'll take any nonsense on the inside, ward will get a dirrell body slam, if ward gets hit with flurrys of hard punches n ruffed up n put on back foot n shoved off when he tries 2 grab n hold c what he does then, but if Ward dances round hits CF with hard punches n stuns him so he doesnt wnna chase him he could beat CF up, n take it on points, this gna be a war, with CF winner imo

  13. @overlordkrull Please Stop picking on Andre Ward he is my hero :'(

  14. Good vid, I favor ward to win with some ugly and dirty tactics thrown in for good measure. However, I think Froch will be more prepared for Wards game than Kesseler was. Interesting final.

  15. @iamrob7

interesting take on strategy though, u would have froch try & draw ward in? it could throw ward off for a few rounds i suppose, as he probably wouldnt be expecting that... but i still worry about froch's balance- wards feet are so fast & his balance is so good he can get shots off, move out when u try to counter, then move back in & counter your counters

i think froch is gonna have to rough ward up IMO,take it to him like bika did but be more accurate,i think thats his best chance IMO

  16. @iamrob7

good point about height & reach- but then kessler was around froch's height & has an arguably a better jab, & ward beat him

also johnson was beating froch to the jab consistently in the early rounds, & he's 5'11" & 42 years old! froch was throwing more jabs, but they where being blocked, most of johnsons where landing clean

i think ward will give him issues with the jab & movement, froch will struggle to get set, fall off balance & get countered often

  17. Thoughts? Ward = overrated o'course!

  18. Why is Lenny Henry doing Indian impersonations..? Lol

Ward will win, Olympic Champion with a better skillset.

Froch's Brendan Ingle style will get exposed like it always does sooner or later, Ward wont knock Froch out obviously, but, he'll win.

  19. @iamrob7 This is what im saying to people, but i get told im wrong about ward so much im actually starting to believe it. The prediction for this fight i will really sit down and see what everyones raving about, as i havent seen it yet. I've seen an in out jab and grab messy boxer, who is very good at what he does. But is beatable. IMO.

  20. @HatmanTV Im not sayin froch will win, i need to go back and watch some more ward fights. I only watch them once as i cant really hack watching his fights as it is lol. But for the froch ward prediction i will do my homework, and who knows i may come out convinced. Off my head right now, i can see him giving froch problems, but i dont think hes unbeatable in this fight. Think we gonna have to agree to disagree on this one my brother.

  21. @HatmanTV Well i said the only fights ive seen are the recent super six ones and a few tings on youtube so im far from a ward expert, which i admit. In comparison to froch i will concede ward is smoother, but froch and ward are two totally different styles. These are just my opinions bro, not saying your wrong at all. Im just yet to be sold on ward being this amazing boxer. I know im in the minority with this view, i have to have this battle all the time. I will review his fights soon.

  22. @ukwingchunstudent

froch is the one who makes far more mistakes, he gets hit alot more & he is not as fast, not as accurate & not as well coordinated as ward

froch's advantages are strength, punching power, & mental toughness- & he certainly has a chance of winning if he can do what bika did but add to it-but theres only 1 sakio bika

its very rare that i make a pick so far ahead of a fight, but i see so many problems in this one for froch im gonna call it early- ward by decision

  23. @ukwingchunstudent

i think ur reading too much into the bika fight-ward was very smooth & precise vs kessler abraham & green for the most part, bika made joe calzaghe look scrappy & poor, thats what bika does

go watch the first couple rounds of the kessler fight & u will see what i mean-look at his balance, he's literally never off balance- compare that to froch, when froch throws his right leg moves out to the right and he squares himself up,with his hands down-constantly! open 2 a left counter

  24. @Riff28Raff

the key is froch has to make it a war, make it a messy fight & hurt ward, bully him- but while he's trying to do that he's gonna leave himself open to counters

froch struggled with jermaine taylors speed & was 4rounds down going into the 12th, he struggled with pascals speed in the early rounds & was caught alot, he struggled with kesslers jab & combinations & lost the fight- ward is faster & more coordinated than all those guys, better all round boxer than any of them
